In the spirit of Smokey and the Bandit, Global Star Software rolls out Rebel Trucker for the PC. Rebel Trucker has players going against various law enforcement agencies as they barrel through New Orleans, hauling elicit cargo for the Louisiana underworld.
Rebel Trucker is set in an environment designed with over 100 real city streets and highways, along with recognizable New Orleans landmarks such as the Super Dome and the French Quarter. Players compete against the clock as they rumble through five different missions. Three difficulty modes are designed to test driving skills in various rigs, including flatbeds, car carriers, sleepers, and tankers.
Numerous other modes of play exist, including training and certification levels, bonus mini-games such as a dock loading and parking tests, and a realistic truck-driving simulation where logging gas, setting up lodging, and trying to comply with weight laws become the tasks at hand; much like the every day experiences of a professional trucker.
