In Activision’s TIME COMMANDO, you play as tech-wizard Stanley Opar, and it’s up to you to travel through time in order to save the planet. A mysterious virus has infected the military’s top-secret super computer, causing it to wreak havoc with the very seams of reality. In your adventure to repair the computer, you’ll explore nine scenarios including the brutal Stone Age, feudal Japan, and the Wild West. You must do battle with Roman Centurions, cyborgs, and other vicious villains on your quest. Beginning each level unarmed, Stanley must find items to protect himself with. Weapons vary according to the era, so you’ll wield everything from primitive clubs to futuristic laser pistols. Collect as many unaffected computer memory chips as you can, find the upload terminal, and repair the compromised computer before time runs out. In TIME COMMANDO you’ll solve brain-teasing puzzles, enjoy state-of-the-art 3D graphics and hear stunning, realistic sound. Varying skill settings are available as well for added replay value.
Your mission is to destroy the virus that has invaded the Historical Tactical Center’s central computer system. The game leads you through 8 of history’s grandest epochs to arrive at the 9th level where the virus is located. To do this, as you travel through time you must capture as many non-infected memory circuits (represented by blue chips) as possible. This way, you will send all the healthy memory circuits back to the main computer each time you reach the memory upload terminals.
But watch out! Time is against you, and the virus is progressively attacking the main computer’s memory. When the memory is completely contaminated by the virus, the game’s over. Your work will be slowed down considerably by the horde of virtual enemies deployed by the virus. You must combat and eliminate all these enemies as quickly as possible.
