FIFA Soccer 2005 or FIFA 2005, whatever you call it, is a football oriented game. Soccer games are very popular in Europe and American countries. FIFA 2005 was the effort by EA to just put popularity of the soccer game in front of people in the form of video game.
FIFA Football 2005 was released on October 12, 2004 in USA and on October 14, 2004 in countries of European Union. Actually it was set to be released at some time later in that year but EA released FIFA 2005 in October because of two reasons. The first reason responsible for its early release was the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 and the second responsible cause was the release of FIFA Street, Electronic Arts biggest release of that time.
Because the FIFA 2005 was released before the actual launching period, so there were many shortcomings in the game. FIFA 2005 was criticized for its poor game play although lot has improved since 2004. Still many reviewers critic FIFA 2005 for its inferior game play. It is available for all the popular platforms such as Windows, Playstation, Playstation 2, Xbox, GameCube, mobile phones etc. It is available in single-player, multi-player and multi-player online modes.
FIFA 2005 features improved career modes, and custom modes. Players can also perform real time tricks in the game that wasn’t available in the earlier versions of the games. After FIFA 2005, FIFA 06, FIFA 07, FIFA 08 has also been released by EA. FIFA 08 has been the biggest hit in the EA’s soccer series of games. If compared to FIFA 08, FIFA 2005 has only 26 leagues featuring only 19 countries and 39 teams.
